Ah... thanks for that info..... So, export all the data and
rebuild from scratch is the way to go?

That was true waaaaay back at Firebird 1.0 and (marginally but not advisedly) at Firebird 1.5. We are talking 15 years of Firebird development here, 5 major releases and thus, 5 ODS changes, to arrive at 2.5.something.
