Not that I think anything in those places will help you with your corrupt firebird.conf. Those are developer resources, not much help for end-users of proprietary software products. Did you notice that firebird.conf has a large amount of self-documentation? Again, it is directed at developers, not software end-users. But at least it can explain to you why those strange lines are causing engine errors.
