The Wow6432Node is where the registry entries are for 32 bit applications
on Windows 64 bit. In this case you have found a 32 bit Firebird install. A
64 bit Firebird install would be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Firebird
Project\Firebird Server\Instances.

To make matters more confusing, depending on the bitness if the
application (and I believe the method used for searching the registry),
Windows might show the WoW6432Node as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\...
instead of as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WoW6432Node\... (for
compatibility with 32 applications on 32 bits windows).
