this is the path of the fdb file:
C:\Users\Desy\Documents\FB

this is the aliases.conf (on the server machine):
XFILES = C:\Users\Desy\Documents\FB\XFILES.FDB

the error occours both with local or remote access.

For example, I had Firebird installed on a Windows 2003 machine (named AD2K3), which has this aliases.conf:
XFILES = C:\DATI\FB\XFILES.FDB

And I can access it from any client with AD2K3:XFILES
