Thanks for your response. We did perform some tests on the backup/restore before we went live and everything seemed to have been correct.

Sorry, I am not clear on what you mean by checking the UDFs. Where do I find a procedure for that? We did test our applications with Firebird 2.52 and they SEEM to have all been working correctly. We ran for nearly a week in production without seeing any problems until Firebird went toes up.

We are trying to move to Firebird because Interbase 6 is such an old product and will not run on more than one processor.

You obviously have some reasons for recommending we stay with Interbase 6. Would you mind elucidating on those reasons?
