Yea the PoS application has all ready been written (as it uses Access to do
the database but I have to create text file so the 3.11 app can process
updates etc)

Use a dev tool which is multi platform, I use wxPython, there is also Dabo
(a ui framework using wxPython) - http://dabodev.com/
