You think, if Firebird is dead or alive?

IMHO, it is a good sign:

* Firebird is getting more stable with each release, especially less
down to zero database corruptions
* Helen's book offers everything you need to know about Firebird
* People get used to Firebird. In the past very basic stuff has been
discussed to death here *g*
* More and more people use Firebird in critical projects, thus use
commercial support
* Non-English speakers use regional support lists
