The goal of the 64 bit version was to be bit for bit on disk compatible.
There were some 64 bit builds before the official release (several - like
more than five - years ago) that were not compatible and will not be
compatible with official 64 bit builds. The ODS for V2.1 should be safe to
use interchangeably with 32 and 64 bit engines.
