and it is also against the distribution policy to provide major version
upgrade inside a release, just bug fixes
so in officials repositories Centos 5 or RHEL 5 can only have Firebird
2.1.x and Centos 6 or RHEL 6 can only have Firebird 2.5.x, will not have
Firebird 3.x
