Growth in data isn't what nBackup's backup file sizes indicate. nBackup doesn't even know about data. It is storing images of pages that have *changed*. Your numbers seem to indicate that you are running Superserver and GC is being done (as expected) by a worker thread during idle times. GC changes pages - hence, nBackup's scans find and store those changes.
