Along the time, we started the project in 1999, i have used IB 5.6, FB 1.0,
and all Interbase versions. I have had problems with bad selectivity index
and i decided to move most of the complex queries to stored procedures.

soon or later, because FB 3 will not be compatible with gds32. I was hoping
that embarcadero support firebird in IBX ;), but will be complicated.
I have started to use Firebird 2.5, since i did not use firebird since 1.0.
I have tested my aplication/database and i have not had problems. We have
one customer with 50 concurrent users working without problem for 2 months.
I know IBX does not support Firebird, but in theory Firebird maintain
compatibility to IBX, because deploy gds32.dll for that. I do not use, for
the moment, improvements of firebird, because i need to deploy to both IB
and FB, and only is used compatible options.
