I don't think fb could make bsod,usually bsod cause by memory problem,so my
guess is with the component.if you like.
first please make sure you do a backup from 2.1 and restore it to 2.5,it is
important because there is an ods version difference.
second,starting from fb 2.5 there are a lot of different thing between fb
and interbase,while you still can use ibexpress(i suspect you use it) for fb
up until 2.1,you can't use it for 2.5 100% stable,it never guaranteed by
ibexpress.
So my suggestion is to try create a simple program and do a simple query and
crud transaction both using ibexpress and dbexpress.see if there is a
problem with fb2.5 or with the component.dbexpress support fb 2.5 natively
for delphi since version 2010.but.for earlier version you can use third
party dbexpress driver
