Subject SV: [firebird-support] I really don't like 2.5!!!!
Author Poul Dige
We have the same experience (=very good and better than 2.1.x) with FB2.5.0, though we had to rewrite an SQL statement that was kind of de-optimized by 2.5.0. But maybe the 2.5.1 would have solved that problem anyway :)

We are hosting small (~10-20MB) but quite complex databases with lots of SP's and calculated fields and temporary tables and views and strange things. FB runs like a dream :)

Poul

Hi there, I upgraded from 2.1.4 to 2.5 months ago and I have not had any problem at all with none of my customers. My DB is about 144 tables, 100 views, 180 stored procs so It is not small.
The only concern is to remove any "non ansi" character from the schema.
I'm using Delphi 6 and Delphi 2007 but I tested it in Delphi XE too.
FIBPlus 6.9.
In fact, 2.5 is faster than 2.1.4 and I have not had DB corruptions as I had with 2.1.3 and 2.1.4.
If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Regards,

Al
