The Firebird Book Second Edition (currently referred to by us as "TFB2E") is soon to see the light of day. If not for two earthquakes in Christchurch and two house moves, some of it *would* have seen light already.

The whole thing has become such a colossal doorstopper that it's no longer practicable to produce it in hard copy. At least initially, until we figure out a way to break it up economically for print, it is going to be distributed in an eBook format by way of the IBPhoenix Developer DVD.

Publication day has dragged out for so long that we have decided to put out some Beta chapters on the next subscription DVD (due in the July/September quarter), not just as "tasters" but also because I'd very much like to have a lot more user participation in the review process this time.

The first edition is still relevant to a newbie and you can still get the eBook or the hard copy version directly from the Apress website, from this URL:

The v.2.0.x and 2.1.x Supplement is still available from http://www.ibphoenix.com/shop/category/4
