You won't be able to access a Firebird database without some version
of Firebird, and the newest version can read all previous versions, so
download and install Firebird 2.5. I find the SuperServer version
easiest to deal with, but you can choose that, or Classic, or
SuperClassic. Read the release notes before doing anything else.
Then install Firebird.
Then get a copy of FlameRobin, an interactive design and query tool.
Read the instructions for FlameRobin.
