Mystery solved ...
The commit was not actually being actioned ... not sure why it was commented
out. Having put it back I'm getting a different problem, but the install NOW
runs clean. The explanation on the generators is that the two that remained WERE
used, so those are obviously committed when they are used outside the transaction.
