a Win32 OS, isn't really the way to go. ;-)
I haven't followed the thread entirely, so watch out the used Firebird
architecture (SS, CS, SC) and the used page size / page buffers.
In such an environment, you really have to go 64-bit with MORE RAM. ;-)
