Also there is (are?) functionality lost whit newer firebird versions.

Maintaining compability is maybe preferred during developement, but is's lost, and no sign of keeping it... :(



BTW I'm firebird fan, and despite of these (very minor) errors it's worth to use the latest versions of Firebird because the better performance, and the new language features.
