> I recently noticed that when running backup from a 3rd party tool like IBExpert, the command line running on the database server (running Linux) has an option of -svc to gbak, i.e. 'gbak -svc ...'. I could not find any reference to this gbak option, does anyone know what this is? Is this to do with service manager which the help file says is '-se(rvice)'.Check out the gbak manual:
