Ann thanks for the reply, it may shed some light on my solved
"problem". Just for reference my cases is as follow:

All my productions db started of on FB 1.0x 32-bit and where deployed to
various servers. These servers and db ODS where upgrade over time to
2.5 32 bit. All with no problems. The only problem I had was using a
binary copy of some those (but not all) db's on my development server
when it is running FB 2.1x - 2.5 64bit. So the problem is with the 64b
bit Server (I only use Superserver) reading some of the 32 bit db's. I
am still puzzled as to why. As far as I can remember I never used the
1.5 64 bit version. I have not tested it with FB 2.5 ODS 11.2 db's. (I
switch back to 32bit to makes my life easier.) I try to do so next week
and report back on my findings.

Thanks to the FB development team for an excellent and rock solid
database platform. And for this support group, I have learn so much by
reading all the posts.
