Well, than you may understand Symantec should be informed of the problem since Firebird developers have no idea what NG's *closed* source is doing.

Imagine you buy a car and realize later on the car do no work when it's raining... You get surprised at first since that's an strange behavior, and than you collect enogth evidence to 'prove' the car works just fine ONLY when it's *not* raining.

Than, who to you take the evidence to? To Saint Peter so he may "fix" the rain? Or the the car vendor so he can fix the car, since it should work regardles of the whether?

Backup/imaging tools are not suposed to break depending on the content of the files they are coping.

So.. it's up to you.
