I Use firebird classic server
And only few service daemon run,
Memory use after restart only 64mb (check with free)

Here is the result on WinXp 64 bit, Firebird 2.5 SuperServer, RAM 2GB, Database on Hardisk

Delta memory: 78928 bytes.
Total execution time: 7.104s
Script execution finished.

Looking at the result on Win7 and WinXp, I think CentOS and ext4 is not a good choice.
