I can count on 1 hand the number of true DB corruptions that I have seen, only 1 corruption was due to FB/IB software.
If the database was corrupted, then running the client hardware at a different location (as outlined by the OP) should have reproduced the problem with 100% consistency. It did not.
So, I find your assertion about "corrupted" db to be "naïve".
