thanks for your reply! I'll stick with 2.5. I always want to use the latest and greatest. I can implement the locking myself, now that Embedded Firebird allows several processes to access the same DB. Which is a super great improvement for most developers, by the way! I am very impressed. Especially since sqlite can do it too, it's great to see that limitation gone.

It would also be great to have an embedded server on Mac ... I'm currently using ZEOSLib with SQLite3 on Mac, but it is incredibly slow compared to IBO and Firebird on Windows. I suspect the reason to be ZEOS, will have to find the bottleneck with a profiler I guess.
