I have used a recent version of MS Access and i would also recommend
staying away from it.

The biggest problem I ran into recently was the MS Access 2007 storage
engine always performs case-insensitive string comparisons. Always.
Cannot be changed.

I use a lot of codes that are case sensitive (R32y.000 vs. r32Y.000) and
this caused me untold grief until I figured out what was happening.
