If a view had a summary total per product code, and was reading 50 000 transactions to get a particular product's total, it would be nice if it only re-read all 50 000 transactions for that product code if 50 001 or more have been posted for that same product.

Like I said, I don't think it's possible, but hey, if you don't ask you don't get ;-)
