Firebird is very flexible as to what it can run on, so as long as the
app has been written in such a way that you can configure your database
paths, there probably shouldn't be any issues.

You'll need to provide more info for the group to be able to help you
though, such as what happens when you try install on the laptop? Are you
getting any error messages?
