If you don't need to cross data between the enterprises just keep them separated. It's the best option!
But just like Doug Chamberlin said, even if you do have the need to integrate the companies in one database, take care because of sensitive data being seen by users who should not be seeing it. So it is a bit more complicated to set up a database to prevent these kinds of issues!
