It is very doubtful that you can do that.

A quick review of the QNAP web site finds that the NAS OS is a "packaged" product from the vendor.

While the OS may be based on a *nix base, it is extremely likely that the commands which can be executed is limited and none of the "standard" compiler or download tools are present and/or can be loaded.

QNAP could include Firebird as a component of their product, but that would be something you would need to discuss with them.
