Maybe, but I think we've just muddled the problem for you. Shutting
down and restarting the server after setting selectivity will cause
triggers and procedures to be recompiled and optimized when they are
referenced. In superserver, you don't need to shut down the server,
just shut down all connections to the database you want to re-optimize.
