SAM Broadcaster has an auto-dj funtions that searches through the database using a number of criteria (e.g. least recently played artist, genre, random, etc). Sometimes, it takes 2 minutes or more to find a song that meets the search criteria and my music broadcast is interrupted.
Regarding meta data, all that "stuff" is configured by SAM at installation time. I'm afraid I don't yet have the skills or confidence to interact with the database.
Thank you for recommending the upgrade process. Is Flamerobin the right tool to use for backing up and restoring the database? There is a backup/restore tool in SAM but I do not know if it will work with other versions of Firebird.
