It wasn't *incorrect* information, really. It's still true that V.2.5 on Windows needs the msvc8 runtimes installed. As Gabor noted, the v.2.5 embedded kit comes with all the files needed, *including* msvc8 runtimes and the appropriate manifest for accessing them right there in the app directory.
