Versions 2.1 and 2.5 require that the MSVC runtime is installed in the
computer that runs the program. If it is not installed the program will
not run, AFAIK.
This is a problem that you should consider if you want to run the
program from an USB stick.

I suppose that a solution could be to compile the source code with VS
2003, but I have not yet explored it.
