It is a v.1.5 database. Firebird servers > v.1.5 should be able to open it.

I had no problem opening your database under Firebird 2.0.6 on Windows, using isql and a couple of other tools.

In aliases.conf:

wh28 = h:\databases\wh28\rtff.fdb

From isql:

Is it possible you are trying to open the database without having a Firebird server actually running?
