I just did the same, and I received a confirmation request within 30 seconds.

So something seems to have gone wrong in your case. Maybe a hickup on their side, or maybe your (or your provider's) filters classified it as spam.

If you have a separate spam folder, maybe you should check it. If you don't find the reply, then I would try to subscribe again. Make sure that you're sending from an email address that is reachable.

news.atkin.com has been down for quite some time now, so that alternative is not available.
