Hi,
one hint: if you need to use software on this server, that is 32 Bits and
uses ODBC install the 32 Bit ODBC Driver not the 64 Bit one.

Subject: [firebird-support] Any hints running FB 1.5.6 on W2008 x64bit
All,
I need to move a DB over from W2000 -> Windows 2008 and wanted to use x64
OS, so that when I get a chance I can make the next step to FB2.x or 3.x 64
bit. There is no need for 64 bit at the moment, but as the old servers are
about 10 years old, the new ones are likely to be in service for many years.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I will be moving from 6.0.2 & FB 1.0.3 to
1.5.6 dialect 1. All tcp/ip connections. No UDFs.
DB's vary from 200MB -> 10GB.
Any advice gratefully received.
Regards,
Jason.
