Nobody answered my questions and I noticed that there are very few messages in the forum. Is there any problem I don´t know?
I would really like to know the opinion of those who know much more than I about my questions because I want to know what is the best thing to do.
Thanks in advance again...

Subject: [firebird-support] Re: HELP!! Database corrupted
Note: I aplogize if this message arrives later again to the forum but I am having problems with my e-mail and so now I am sending this from the web.
-------------
Well finally I "repaired" the database doing the following:
I detected there was one table corrupted and I drop this table.
I did gfix -mend.
I did backup and restore.
I pumped from a backup of yesterday the records of the table I had dropped.
I added manually to the table I had dropped the records of today.
Now I am worry about the following. As I read in http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-2268, this is a bug of FireBird which affects versions 2.1.1 (and other older versions) and even 2.5 Alpha 1 and it was fix in version 2.5 Beta 2. Then my questions are:
1. What is the specific cause of this corruption? Is something related to something that perhaps I can avoid doing with my databases?
2. May be I can update to 2.5 Beta 2, but it´s a Beta and then I don´t know which other bug it has. Then... what do you suggest?
Thanks in advance
Gustavo
