Never mind, found it in the 2.1 release notes while I was looking in the 2.5 release notes.
Just wishing there was a single source for all the documentation......

Subject: [firebird-support] SQL Comment command?
Hey All,
Has a comment or comment on command ever been added to firebird?
I am in the middle of doing a series of sql scripts and it would be cleaner to use a comment on command to fill in the rdb$description fields for the various metadata elements I am creating.
I can always use update on the system tables, but, I would prefer to leave such constructs out of my scripts if possible.
Thanks
Dalton
