Can you try using ip address instead of the host name. This looks like to me a DNS issue.

Not being a poweruser of FireBird I have not modified anything in there and should be the default that is at the time of install.



Checking this on my home machine there is no entry for this (execpt as a comment in the header) should be the same on the work computer. Of course I will confirm this tomorrow
