Thanks for the quick response, yes I plan to ship my application, can't I still use the super server and then move the server later if need be, I know I can loop the Server back for local use by using the IP address 127.0.0.1 which is also use for local testing of the server and client

I have never used the embedded version of Firebird, having always
developed against a local or remote server. Unless you intend to SHIP an
application complete with the Embedded database, then I would recommend
simply installing a server and working with that. It does not cost
anything ;)
