The safest way (I hope!) is to do this, possibly as root - I'm not near
a Mandriva installed server here:

ln -s /bin/sh /sbin/sh

That will create a sym link from /bin/sh to /sbin/sh and now, either
version will work.

The other option is to edit the startup script and change all
occurrences of /sbin/sh to /bin/sh. However, if you update the
installation at any point, you will need to do it all over again.
