MON tables? Maybe I'm using them incorrectly or expecting the wrong thing
from them but it appears to me that if anything noticable were 'glimpsed' by
infrequent observation of the MON tables, it would be a complete accident or
artifact of that glimpse, and not a true vision of the server performance.
If, on a production server, I took 8 glimpses over an 8 hour shift (period),
I really would not know how to interpret these 8 snapshots. I'm quite sure I
could get a totally wrong impression of the server state from these 8
snapshots.
Or maybe there are basic metrics that you know which I could compare with?
