I need to point you to www.ibphoenix.com where you will find plenty of
information on this subject and further links. You will also find several
tools which implement replication both commercial and free. All (most?) of
these tools have their separate support options and should be used to
investigate them further. In short, replication can be achieved in a variety
of ways and depends generally on whether you are fitting the tool to an
existing database design or you are creating a database design in concert
with the replication task. You have more options if you are designing all
this from scratch.
