I think "completely different" is an overstatement. There are many
similarities that make it easy to migrate from Interbase to Firebird.

Exactly what I wrote above. And apparently the backup format is to
some extent compatible with Interbase since the restore succeeded, the
database probably is just missing some features. I don't know what
features, it might be something important but it might something easy
to fix as well.
