Hi Anderson,
I have two questions. First, I have been using another DBExpress
driver because there was no guarantee that future versions of
IBExpress would be compatible with future versions of Firebird. I
just ran across my second issue with this second DBExpress driver. An
amount of -.06 was returned from the database as -.=6 which
FastReports complained was not a valid numeric value. I concluded
that the problem was with the DBExpress driver because when I changed
to IBExpress the problem went away. So the first question is: have
you found any incompatibilities between IBExpress and Firebird?
The second question is: Is the MDO set acceptable? I had not even
heard of it until your post.
I may also want to check out FIB+. I think it is used by some people
that have been in this business a while.
Thanks
Jack
