If you are talking about FB2.1 , YES, you can delete from MON$XXX tables!
Read README.monitoring_tables.txt from Doc folder.

Subject: [firebird-support] How to cancell a long running query
Hi All,
Is there any way of cancelling a long running query once it has started?
I see IBExpert has an "Abort Fetch" option, so I know that should be
possible for me to do too, but that's only once the query has finished,
and the records are being returned. Is there any way I can cancel the
whole statement?
