SS or CS has the same features, both supports events, if one tells me CS
does not support events it would be a very big surprise to me, I have
just 2 or 3 costumers running CS and I did not use events, so I have no
practical experience with that combination.
Events are a reverse connection, the client app becomes a server
listenning to a specific port for the events server sends.
The problem would be a firewall on the client side that has nothing
related to the server architecture.
Of course, if you have a firewall blocking outbound traffic on the port
that firebird will need to send the events it will be a a problem, be it
CS, SS or SC.
Usually firewalls are more restrict to inbound traffic and let outbound
connections more or less "free"
What problems did you get ?
see you !
