My experience is that you should *always* keep your [INNER] JOINS first
(before) your LEFT JOINS.

My *guess* is that the engine do not do this for you, and, if you try folow
doing the joins in the order (with LEFT before INNER and INNER before LEFT)
it is really diferent since you may do left joins for records that will be
excluded by some INNER join.
