yes , kaspersky hates firebird , occasionally
on my system it is the firewall which slows down the whole
thing to a crawl if i turn of the firewall everything is fine

i had this problem already with Firebird 2.0.3
since upgrading Kaspersky to 7.0.1.325


but as i wrote occasionally , this does not happen always
