Subject Re: Error: Duplicated item in allocation table detected

Hello.

Coming back to this unresolved issue, inspecting the firebird log
file, I see lots of the following errors:

INET/inet_error: read errno = 9

Most of them happened when the hourly nbackup was being done.

Sometimes the following error also happened:

INET/inet_error: select in packet_receive errno = 9

I tried to find out something related through the mailing list. I
found an issue regarding to some network interfaces with the same IPs,
but I'm not sure whether this is my case.

The host with database server has two network interfaces (excluding
"lo" interface), but just one has an assigned IP, the other one is
unconfigured.

There are two more hosts in the same subnet with also two network
interfaces, just one is configured. These hosts have the same IP
configured in a "lo" interface alias. These machines are the Firebird
clients.

Please also remember that the problem arised while doing an
incremental nbackup, operation performed locally, and without any
external client access.

I hope this new information is useful to solve this problem or maybe
to get some hints.

Thank you very much,
